Տաքսու վարորդը շարժվում է սխալ ուղությամբ / Taxi driver turns in wrong direction

Description

Սա տեղի ունեցավ, երբ ես դեռ նոր էի քաղաքում և իմ լեզվական հմտությունները ավելի վատ էին, քան հիմա /Ներեցեք, որ անգլերեն եմ գրում/
Տաքսի նստեցի ու վարորդին ասեցի ինձ իմ հասցեով տանի: Նա սկսեց խոսել ինձ հետ, հարցնելով անունս և թե որտեղից եմ:
Որոշ ժամանակ անց նա հարցրեց, թե ուզում եմ ինչ-որ տեղ գնալ ու խմել: Ասեցի նրան. “Ոչ, պարզապես ուզում եմ տուն գնալ ու քնել”, նա փորձում էր ինձ համոզել: Ես շարունակում էի մերժել:
Հանկարծ նա փոխեց իր ուղությունըմ, շրջվեց դեպի քաղաքի կենտրոնի կողմ:
Ես ափերից դուրս եկա և բղավեցի նրա վրա, որ կանգնեցնի մեքենան: Այնուհետև նա ներողություն խնդրեց ու նորից ճիշտ ուղությամբ շրվեց:
Ետ նայելով այդ դեպքոին, ես կուզեի հենց այդ ժամանակ կանգնեցնել մեքենան , ուրիշ մեքենա նստել: Կամ գոնե տաքսու կամ տվյալ տաքսի ծառայության տվյալները վերցնեի, որ դիմեի համապատասխան մարմիններին: Բայց ես շոկի մեջ էի այդ պահին ու պարզապես ուզում էի տուն գնալ:
Ես ընդունելի եմ համարում , որ տաքսու վարորդը փորձում է զրույց վարել հաճախորդի հետ, բայց անընդունելի է հաճախորդին խնդրել միասին խմել և իհարկե, միանգամայն անընդունելի է մեքենան սխալ ուղությամբ վարելը:
Ինչի՞ մասին էր նա մտածում:
Արդյո՞ք նա չէր հասկանում , թե որքան սպառնացուցիչ դա կարող է թվալ կնոջ համար, որ միայնակ ճանապարհորդում է մի երկրում, որի լեզուն գրեթե չգիտի էլ:
Արդյո՞ք նա պարզապես չէր մտահոգվում:


This happened when I was quite new in the city and my language skills was even worse than now. (Sorry for the english)
I got in a cab telling the driver to take me to my address. He starts talking with me, asking me for my name and where I am from.
After a while he asks me if I want to go somewhere and drink. I tell him "No I just want to go home an sleep" he keeps trying to convince me. I keep saying no.
Then, suddenly, he just turns his car back towards the city centre.

I blow off, and scream to him to stop the car. He then says he's sorry and turns the car on the right way again.

Looking back at it I wish I would have forced him to stop right then and there and then took another car. Or at least gotten the taxi company and car so I could report it. But I was both shocked and just wanted to get home.

For me it's acceptable for a driver to strike up a conversation with a customer, but unacceptable to ask the customer to have a drink with him and of course totally unacceptable to turn the car in the wrong direction.

What was he thinking off?
Did he not understand how threatening that might seem for a woman, travelling alone in a country where she barely speaks the language?
Did he just not care?
