I'm not a Prostitute! Ես մարմանավաճառ չեմ

Description

When walking home from Yerevan city center at night, on Baghramyan I have been 'cruised' as a prostitute 3 times (that I noticed). (My friends have experienced it multiple times each).

Men drive by slowly, roll down their window, say things to try to get me to the car, ignore my gestures to drive on, and only stop when I turn and walk the other way on the sidewalk. These incidents have mostly happened in winter - I'm wearing jeans, jacket, beanie. Nothing indicates I'm a 'prostitute' except their mistaken line of reasoning: foreign/blonde/alone at night = prostitute.

Երբ Երևանի կենտրոնից տուն էի քայլում, Բաղրամյանի վրա 3 անգամ ինձ մարմնավաճառի տեղ դրեցին /այդքան անգամ նկատեցի/ : /Ընկերներիս հետ դա բազմիցս պահատել է/:

Տղամարդը մեքենայով դանդաղորեն մոտենում է, իջեցնում պատուհանը, ինչ-որ բաներ է անում, որ մեքենան նստեմ, իր ընթացքը շարունակելու իմ ժեստերն անտեսում է, և կանգնում է միայն այն ժամանակ, երբ թեքվում եմ, որ այլ ուղությամբ քայլեմ: Այս դեպքերը հիմնականում ձմռանն են տեղի ունեցել՝ ես կրում եմ ջինսեր, ժակետ, գլխարկ: Ոչինչ չի բնորոշում իմ մարմնավաճառ լինելը, բացի նրանց թյուր դատողությունը, որ օտարերկրացի / շիկահեր/ գիշերով միայնակ = մարմնավաճառ:
